I was an engineer (Westinghouse), paralegal (Epstein Becker & Green), restauranteur (Maio’s & Magic Ming), broker (Okada), cartographer (Identity Map), fashion industry analyst (Fashion Center/Garment District BID), and starting at the year of 9/11, a political candidate.
I ran for Borough President, Comptroller, State Assembly, and State Senate, and lost every time.
…what kept me going?
Having helped people, however small it may be without the power and authority of an elected official, gave me fulfillment.
Now? My mother died last year, and I applied for Medicare. Mortality hit. Having lived through two decades of political chicanery and witnessed how power corrupts, my run is to change the political culture in New York City.
