When was the last time you heard a politician said he/she was wrong? The problem lies in the system. There is no auditing on laws passed nor politician’s behavior.
There are plenty of laws on the book, but you should not trust politicians themselves to pick and choose those they want to review, ignore or enforce. A tiny list of laws that need attention includes:
- COVID mistakes and over procurement
- Congestion Pricing’s $1 billion revenue + clean air promise
- NYC Garbage Bin refunds and enforcement
- Lack of political will to reform real estate tax
- Housing supply and restrictions
- Coop and Condo management and abatement issues
- Local Laws 11 & 97 that support a cottage industry, but do little for tenants and owners
Hindsight is better than 20/20 when actions and consequences are evaluated and audited. Share with me mistakes and failure you witnessed or experienced.
