Senator Joseph Addabbo, Jr. spent about $100,000 in legal fees to keep Danniel Maio off the Republican and independent lines.  See the June 16 Board of Elections Commissioners’ Meeting video at the 1:19 mark.

First rule among politicians is to win the next (2028) election. In the case of Senator Addabbo, he replaced Serphin Maltese in 2008 after having served in the City Council for 8 years from 2001 until 2008.

In a court case challenging the Senator’s address of voter registration, the Appellate Court ruled in May 2026 that it’s OK for the Senator to live outside of the district.

Senator Addabbo had the taxpayer pay for his mailing, not unlike what President Trump did.

Senator Addabbo did not pay for this mailer. You the taxpayer did.
Is this a mailer to inform constituents about legislative updates per NYS law or another way to skirt campaign finance?
Senator Addabbo’s Public Campaign Finance report filed on October 2, 2026.

The Senator is good at his job. After nearly three decades, he kept competition away, skirt around the residency law, and used taxpayers’ money to fund political campagn. Re-elect him?
