Sullivan Act has to do with small firearms, not rifle, shotgun, ammunition nor body armor in the legislation signed into law on July 1, 2022. Carrying licensed guns outside of home had been limited to government purposes instead of self-protection thus the NEW YORK STATE RIFLE & PISTOL ASSOCIATION, INC., ET AL. v. BRUEN, SUPERINTENDENT OF NEW YORK STATE POLICE 6-3 decision on June 23, 2022.
Legislation (S.51001/A.41001) ยง265.01-E says license holders will be charged criminal possession if he or she is in a government building, health center, place of worship, library or public park, government licensed or funded centers, any schools, all public transportation, all show and gaming venues, poll sites, public protests, Times Square.
New York State should stop treating law abiding people second-class citizens. Talk it through, not ram it through. Serve the people, not personal political interest.
