Passed June 2021, effective December 21, 2021. Paperwork and rules were not updated until May 2024 as reported by Gothamist. How about other laws? Who have followed them up? COVID 19? Long term COVID, education consequence, cost to society… New York State Minimum Wage? Workers and employers… Housing, AirBNB, state of commercial real estate, etc.
What?!!! Even that, the application process closes on December 4. Governor Hochul’s decision was a response to an existing lawsuit. The problem is illegal use, unregulated product, lack of enforcement that puts safety and health at risk. The law is bad, the policy is bad, the execution is flawed.
