Frank James, 62, who wounded 29 people included 10 who were shot on the N train at 36 Street station before 8:30 am on April 12, was arrested by NYPD at least 12 times. Probe of the camera failure was launched. It was only September last year that MTA announced 100% camera coverage.
The MTA app should add a live-stream feature, and users could click to notify MTA that they “saw something”.
Update 1: (May 3, 2022) A fan unit downed cameras at the 25th, 36th and 45th Stations per MTA. Seriously?
Update 2: (May 24, 2022) Assemblywoman Bichotte Hermelyn got credit for passing the Sedrick Simon bill (A07016B) in the Assembly when it was already sponsored by Senator Parker in 2020? Also, as was pointed out by MTA back in September 2021, camera coverage is already 100%!
