New York State Constitution Article III ยง4(a)(5) Districts shall not be drawn to discourage competition or for the purpose of favoring or disfavoring incumbents or other particular candidates or political parties. The Special Master, Dr. Jonathan Cervas, has followed the constitution.
The State Senator has asked the Special Master to draw his home back in the 15th District before the maps were finalized on May 20, 2022.
