Most store owners do clean the streets in front of their storefront when opening in the morning. DEP would come around noon and issue fines irregardless of how the piece of trash got to the store.
(1) Tickets should be dismissed should there be a video of cleaning done the same day before ticket was issued; (2) Street sweepers should be done more often along Liberty Avenue; and (3) Outdoor restaurant sheds on streets must to be removed. How can the street be cleaned or milled? City Council voted in February to make outdoor dining structures permanent. It’s another wrong law in the City.
