A U.S. Consumer Product Safety commissioner, Richard Trumka Jr., said gas stove usage is a “hidden hazard,” which can cause health issues, including respiratory problems in children.

Governor Kathy Hochul included it in her State of the State Address “switching from fossil fuels to clean electric heating systems” (50:50) “a promise that (owners of homes electrified) will never spend more than 6% of their income on electricity” (51:10) on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

For people who have experienced electric power failures, they could depend on gas for heat and cooking. I could accept a “recommendation”, but never a “ban”. Same with fossil fueled cars.
