Was told about these abandoned bikes left there nearly a year ago.

First, I tried reporting it on 311 online. It would not allow me to upload pictures after multiple attempts. DON’T REFRESH! You will need to retype your request. Tried reducing the picture size, same “Processing Attachment” loading gif.

After an hour of attempts, decided to phone it in. Since the bikes were on 2 sides of the street, my call has to done as two reports. Jocelyn was patient and friendly, but it still took at least 15 minutes because the 311 system does not accept street intersection. It needs an address.

Was advised that the Department of Sanitation will inspect within 5 business days. If deemed qualified for removal, the inspector will place a notice to owner to have them removed within 72 hours. If they remain abandoned, those bikes will be removed.

Update June 8, 2022. NYC311: 311-10581009 sent to DSNY. Next update within 14 days. Reported “(t)he Department of Sanitation investigated this complaint and found no condition at the location,” but bikes were removed at 6/8/2022 8:41 AM.
