Neighbors have observed that 20% to 35% of the cars parked in the neighborhood have out-of-state license plates. Many have expired or parked for weeks and months.
Cars with expired tags parked on public property should be defined as abandoned. Public should be able to check whether the license plate matches the make and model of car to catch those with false license plates.
