The more effective method not to block the box is for Department of Transportation to paint a white box on Myrtle Avenue allowing distance for cars to exit and enter 89 Street. It was painted before until the road was milled two years ago.
When exiting 89 Street, residents sometimes need to wait up to 3 light cycles to get out. When westbound on Myrtle Avenue turning in, honking from cars behind crossing Woodhaven Boulevard unaware of the situation could be emotionally frustrating.
