Power lines are not underground at this stretch of 135th Street below 101st Avenue. While some wires were transferred to a new pole, most have not. The old power pole is leaning, and could break knocking out power in the area.
Another leaning power tower is located on the other side of LIRR Jamaica Yard at 92 Avenue near 130 Street.
