Status on Congestion Pricing 2023

1. Law passed by Albany legislature April 1, 2019.
2. MTA completed a 6-week Tolling Program Environmental Assessment September 2022
3. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will issue either a Finding Of No Significant Impact (FONSI), allowing MTA to proceed, or a request for an environmental impact statement, which will require additional study. Spring 2023.
4. To stop this, City Council could put the pricing plan on the city’s ballot process.
