Delaware Aquaduct is to close for about 8 months

New York City has one of the best clean water supply system in the world. To fix a 35 million gallon leak per day at the Delaware Aqueduct, it will be shut starting October 1, 2024 until June 2025. New York City will still get its supply relying on the Catskill Aqueduct.
