The property is owned by the City of New York. It has been left vacant and unattended for decades. Good neighbors have kept it cleaned. City decided to lock it up this year. Now it is unsightly.
Row of cars have parked unmoved for months along 124th Street north of Liberty Avenue. What is the City’s parking rule especially for non-vehicles? Should a rule be set that cars parked longer than a month could be towed?

This dead end facing the Forest Park Shops on 88th Place has “NO PARKING ANYTIME” sign constantly ignored. Weeds and plants have covered the “yellow” fire hydrant. Since the street dead ends, parking and driving requires extra attention. Medisys (a/k/a Jamaica Hospital) has bought several homes in the area. Some are also vacant. Along this stretch, there are a non-working police camera, trash concerns and cars blocking driveway, and theft incidents.
Can something be done about this?
Residents are afraid for their safety where Kew Gardens Road, Metropolitan and Jamaica Avenue intersect. The bench area attracts drug users, homeless and unwelcomed activities. With the number of mentally illed growing, certified phych beds have been reduced. Report.
