Residents are afraid walking underneath the bridge at night. It is poorly lighted, a regular dump ground, pigeons roost here… MTA could install a camera, and live stream the feed. Public could access it and its recording.

At 153 Avenue, there is no “end of road” warning for those driving westbound on 151 Avenue. An accident in early August damaged 4 parked cars. Package pirates and auto thefts are common in this area since the 76th Precinct and 106th Precinct would refer to the other Precinct over jurisdiction.
It’s one way northbound between Linden Boulevard and 149 Avenue, but two-way one block down between 149 Avenue and 151 Avenue. The rational is that the street is narrower where Walgreens is.
Instead of restructuring the MTA for a post-COVID reality, it kept the same pre-COVID business model. Governor Kathy Hochul said no MTA fare hike until 2025 back in November 2021. MTA is already planning one right after the elections for March 2023. Left out of the report is Congestion Pricing.
Ironically, PO DeMutiis died when a stolen car rammed into his 1977 Plymouth while on duty on January 25, 1994 at this location. It’s a similar scene by 112 Precinct in Forest Hills under the LIRR trestle along Yellowstone Boulevard.
