First Deputy Mayor Lorraine Grillo said, “they (sic) can use to pay their (sic) mortgage, pay their (sic) utility bills, or plan for their (sic) future.” How many checks were issued? Early voting became law in 2019 made the “temporary inactive” designation even worse. Because a typical worker could make $2,000 to $5,000 for less than 10 days of work, loyalty has a higher price tag. It begs the question, has early voting increased voter turnout?
Will Governor Kathy Hochul extend it again? The COVID-19 emergency declaration bar is set at 100 new admissions a day. The last time that dipped below 100 was around July 2021.
