This stretch of 112 Street between Jamaica and Atlantic Avenues needs milling given the amount of potholes. Also, car speeding to avoid traffic and speed camera on Liberty Avenue is a constant concern among seniors and children at play. Some residents have suggested leasing street parking space for convenience and safety.
Hillside Avenue is a wide thoroughfare between Van Wyck Expressway and Lefferts Boulevard. There is a speed camera in the commercial section west of LIRR, but not in the residential section east.

At 153 Avenue, there is no “end of road” warning for those driving westbound on 151 Avenue. An accident in early August damaged 4 parked cars. Package pirates and auto thefts are common in this area since the 76th Precinct and 106th Precinct would refer to the other Precinct over jurisdiction.
It’s one way northbound between Linden Boulevard and 149 Avenue, but two-way one block down between 149 Avenue and 151 Avenue. The rational is that the street is narrower where Walgreens is.
