Instead of restructuring the MTA for a post-COVID reality, it kept the same pre-COVID business model. Governor Kathy Hochul said no MTA fare hike until 2025 back in November 2021. MTA is already planning one right after the elections for March 2023. Left out of the report is Congestion Pricing.
Early voting became law in 2019 made the “temporary inactive” designation even worse. Because a typical worker could make $2,000 to $5,000 for less than 10 days of work, loyalty has a higher price tag. It begs the question, has early voting increased voter turnout?

I support charities helping migrants and asylum seekers, but not entitlements doled out by the City government! News of freebies are already encouraging more migrants to come. Democrats are expanding the cost of “sanctuary city” on my dime. New York already has crime, housing and homeless crisis that it has not fixed.

Currently, fines are issued on the spot upon inspection. There is no chart or table of fines posted publicly. There is no grace period for violators to correct. Even the Business Owner’s Bill of Rights is biased to protect its own inspectors, not to help business owners.

Held once a year starting at G. Baba Makhan Shah Lubana Sikh Center at 113-10 101 Avenue, heading east a few blocks to Gurdwara Sikh Cultural Society at 95-30 118 Street. Streets are cleaned. Free food provided by merchants.
Heading northbound, 111 Street widens an extra lane. Accidents happen regularly at this intersection.
