Mandate dropped for private employers was never really enforced. What happens to those private sector employees fired by private employers after November 1, 2022? Proof of vaccination is still required for municipal workers, police officers, firefighters, teachers and PARENTS! We need a COVID Commission to explore all of City and State’s actions, timeline, and results.
Department of Education COVID-19 “Guidance”. All students are taught in person, vaccinated and unvaccinated. However, unvaccinated parents cannot enter school. They cannot meet teachers or principal or see their children inside any DOE property. That includes unvaccinated teachers! Does it make sense? This stretch of 112 Street between Jamaica and Atlantic Avenues needs milling given the amount of potholes. Also, car speeding to avoid traffic and speed camera on Liberty Avenue is a constant concern among seniors and children at play. Some residents have suggested leasing street parking space for convenience and safety.

Hillside Avenue is a wide thoroughfare between Van Wyck Expressway and Lefferts Boulevard. There is a speed camera in the commercial section west of LIRR, but not in the residential section east.
It was installed about 3 years ago. It has attracted wrong people and wrong activities at the wrong time. Wednesday night boom box music until 2 am, drug use, dog poop, homeless, drinking, all happening at PS 54. It should be removed.
