Street milling request at 112 Street, Speeding

This stretch of 112 Street between Jamaica and Atlantic Avenues needs milling given the amount of potholes. Also, car speeding to avoid traffic and speed camera on Liberty Avenue is a constant concern among seniors and children at play. Some residents have suggested leasing street parking space for convenience and safety.

Tree, garbage, theft, loud music, parking at 126 and 127 Streets.

The residents feel the City has a lower priority responding to their needs. Illegal activities continue. Tree trimming requires multiple attempts. Double-parking, reserved spots, hydrants, driveway blocking, out-of-state owners… Theft reporting is up to citizens to fix on their own. Response time has not been attentive. Quality of life is dramatically lower than before.

Tight parking space along Jamaica Avenue

Parking space availability is tight along Jamaica Avenue especially if near a subway stop. Commuters, shoppers and neighbors would park illegally by hydrant, double-parking or blocking driveways frustrating residents. Cars would also speed down from Hillside Avenue to Jamaica Avenue.

78 Street (Queens) or Sapphire Street (Brooklyn) in Lindenwood is overlooked by 106 Pct (Q) and 75 Pct (K).

At 153 Avenue, there is no “end of road” warning for those driving westbound on 151 Avenue. An accident in early August damaged 4 parked cars. Package pirates and auto thefts are common in this area since the 76th Precinct and 106th Precinct would refer to the other Precinct over jurisdiction.

Trucks and dumping along Grand Central Parkway Service Road

Updated: August 20, 2022. 103rd, 105th and 113th precinct ran Operation “Heavy Duty Enforcement” removing trucks parked in residential area. 112th precinct did not participate. Yes, trucks, tractors and trailers are not suppose to park there overnight. How about giving a contract to tow truck specialized to tow these oversized vehicles?
